(ENGLISH)

This short is going to hurt. It is the story of a girl, Paula, mistreated by a macho, violent and alcoholic father, who also mistreats her mother and who has, as a lifeline, her friend Clara, who is ill to die, in an absolutely inhospitable place.

Paula's clock tells us that although the clocks are stopped, time passes, inclement and painful. And he also tells us that although the fact of giving birth does not make a mother, the fact of giving birth does not make a father; No one who mistreats a daughter should or deserves to be called that.

The director, José Luis López, does not mince words when it comes to showing violence, which is not fictitious, we know perfectly well that there are homes in which gender violence by fathers against mothers and daughters is a reality, so López only shows it in all its cruelty.

The camera approaches the pain, the impotence, the affection, the hope, that finally does not exist; there is the kindness of someone who with his affection and outstretched hand always shows the other side of this dreadful coin.

All the protagonists are credible, the girls, with the terror and love painted in their eyes, the mother, broken with pain on the outside and inside and the father, who does not save in evil in any of the scenes and the poor family environment , heartless and uninhabited in which history is filmed.

Hopefully this story was fiction, but it is not, that's why this short film is supported by the High Commissioner for the fight against child poverty of the Spanish government. Hopefully it will serve to raise awareness.
