DIRECTOR'S BIO / BIOGRAFÍA DEL DIRECTOR

(ENGLISH)

While other children played ball and ran along the streets, Jose Luis Lopez was a child who liked to observe everything that happened inside and outside his world.

Drawing, coloring, painting, constructing and photographing, from time to time, with his father's "Werlisa Mat" camera, were part of the everyday doing that would somehow mark the rest of his career as an artist.

A degree in Fine Arts, a degree in audiovisual production and a Master's degree in marketing and communication, José Luis has developed his entire career as an advertising creative, audiovisual producer and press editor.

Many years ago José Luis lay aside the brushes and the color palette, but these have accompanied in silent for the rest of his life. The lights, the cameras, the publicity and the publishing world have been able to fill the void all these years. But there is always something inside the artist people that keeps him expectant, attentive to the dictates of his heart.

He debuted with his first short film "My friend Naim", obtaining 25 selections and 5 international awards. After that he presents "The T-Shirt" a new short film, in which he resorts to the visual metaphor to continue deepening his cinematic path of social and educational style, which has brought him repercussion and recognition.

Participate as director of photography in the short film Where You Cannot Arrive with Assumpta Serna and Aida Oset as main actresses. But his constant concern leads him to delve into the fantastic genre through the environmental themed short film "Asphyxia".

And now he is currently in the international promotion phase of his new social court short film in the key to the drama "Paula's Clock". A short film that deepens the feelings of people who have been mistreated in their childhood stage
